Promoted tweets are annoying about 90 percent of the time, but when browsing through my Twitter timeline the other day, I came across a promoted tweet for the upcoming movie Everything, Everything. I caught glimpses of the two main characters being sweet to each other, and being that I’m a hopeless romantic, I just had to learn more about it.

What if you couldn’t touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face…or kiss the boy next door? Everything, Everything tells the unlikely love story of Maddy, a smart, curious and imaginative 18-year-old who due to an illness cannot leave the protection of the hermetically sealed environment within her house, and Olly, the boy next door who won’t let that stop them.

Maddy is desperate to experience the much more stimulating outside world, and the promise of her first romance. Gazing through windows and talking only through texts, she and Olly form a deep bond that leads them to risk everything to be together…even if it means losing everything.

I know, I know. It sounds so cliché, but again, I’m an emotional sap. Reading and watching romance stories always brings me great joy and satisfaction.

Also, it turns out, Everything, Everything is based on a New York Times Bestseller. Not only do I want to watch the movie, but now, I also want to read the book! Looking forward to doing both soon.

Everything, Everything arrives in theaters on May 19, 2017.
